Vyšlo Ubuntu Core 22, operační systém určený pro internet věcí a vestavěná zařízení. Je postaven na Ubuntu 22.04 LTS a společnost Canonical pro něj hodlá poskytovat podporu a aktualizace po dobu dalších 10 let. Nejedná se samozřejmě o velkou linuxovou distribuci, ale o minimalistický a maximálně zabezpečený systém vhodný pro práci v reálném čase, robotiku, síťová zařízení, automatizaci nebo signalizaci. Tato nová verze přináší beta verzi real-time jádra, možnost instalovat specifické balíčky Snap, nastavení omezení systémových zdrojů a podpora obnovení továrního nastavení.

Open source firmware Dasharo

Na začátku tohoto roku se lidé ve firmě 3mdeb rozhodli portovat otevřený firmware Coreboot na základní desku s Intel Alder Lake. Proto vznikl otevřený projekt Dasharo, který se nyní dočkal vydání verze 1.0.0. Tím lze nahradit proprietární firmware na základní desce MSI Z690-A WiFi DDR4 s možností vrátit tuto operaci zpět. Toto vydání je podle vyjádření jeho tvůrců téměř stoprocentní a připravené k produkčnímu nasazení. Do budoucna je možné, že firma 3mdeb bude ve svém internetovém obchodě nabízet základní desky s předinstalovaným firmwarem Dasharo.

Linux 5.20 dostane podporu pro ovladače Raspberry Pi 4 V3D

Raspberry Pi 4 je v prodeji už skoro tři roky, ale až v nadcházející verzi linuxového jádra se očekává přidání open-source podpory pro ovladač V3D Direct Rendering Manager. Jedná se o Linux 5.20, který by měl podle plánu vyjít na konci léta tohoto roku. Kód do jádra byl přidán teprve nedávno. Australský vývojář Peter Robinson se vyjádřil: „Testoval jsem to za použití mesa 22.0.x a Waylandu/Gnome na Fedoře 36. Je to víceméně stabilní pro základní testování.“

Počítač v klávesnici AbacusBasic

Britská společnost Pentaform představila počítač v klávesnici AbacusBasic. Jedná se o kompaktní přenosný počítač připojitelný ke všem typům monitorů. V pouzdře z recyklovaných plastů najdeme procesor Intel Atom x5-Z8350 s frekvencí 1,44 GHz, grafiku Intel Gen8 HD a eMMC modul pro ukládání dat. K internetu se lze připojit pomocí WiFi, k ostatním zařízením pak přes Bluetooth. Výrobce slibuje kompatibilitu se všemi linuxovými distribucemi. Cena začíná na 120 britských librách (3500 korun).

Tým openSUSE oznámil uvolnění openSUSE 15.4 Leap, nejnovější verze linuxové distribuce sdílející balíčky se SUSE Linux Enterprise. Lucas Holt oznámil vydání MidnightBSD 2.2.0, aktualizované verze operačního systému odvozeného od FreeBSD. Na Alpine Linuxu postavený operační systém pro mobilní zařízení postmarketOS vyšel ve verzi 22.06. Na Arch Linuxu postavená distribuce s S6 coby náhradou za systemd Obarun vydala novou verzi s číslem 2022.06.08.

Ten abacus basic je dobra ptakovina. Pry recyklovane plasty, a pritom zakladni model je z PRUHLEDNEHO plastu. Ten se z "recyklovaneho" vyrobi dost tezko. Intel celeron taky neni (v porovnani s ARM) zrovna usporny. Nema to disk, zatimco jej ma cim dal vice ARM mikropocitacu. Nekde se holt levne prodavaj celerony, a ani Cina uz to nechce, tak zkusi na ten zbytek nachytat zpovykovany "zeleny" evropsky trouby.
